The relationship between executive leadership and your nonprofit board is one of the most important partnerships for any organization. Your board should help with strategic planning, help to advance your mission, and provide meaningful insights and advice for your organization.
Join us for an overview on nonprofit boards and how to create a more effective relationship between executive and board leadership teams.
On October 16, Tech Networks of Boston (TNB) will host a free Nonprofit Roundtable panel session featuring Martha Sloan Felch.
This workshop will help you better understand the impact your board has on your nonprofit organization and will give you insights and tips to help you improve the role of your board leadership.
This session will address the following questions:
- Do you view the presence of your Board as simply a regulatory requirement? Or also as a resource to support and advance the organization’s mission?
- Are you and the Board Chair an effective team? Is the Chair an effective leader, with an effective board team.
- Do Board members fully understand your Mission, and their Roles and Responsibilities? Have you had some voice in developing the Expectations of a Board member?
- Are board meetings an opportunity for you and your board to have meaningful discussions on issues which “keep you up at night”? Or is it a “show and tell” opportunity for you to update the board, with little time remaining for discussion and determining ways in which the Board can provide strategic assistance.
