From Information to Insight
Wrangling 30 years of data seems like a daunting task at first, especially with multiple departments and employees based all over the country.
Success with Salesforce
Data at a community-based education nonprofit was collected in Salesforce, but unfortunately, it was only set up for a single department. Other teams patched together their own systems, using MySQL, PHP and more while the data of Salesforce continued to stagnate.
Using IT to Increase Productivity and Reduce Costs
The Massachusetts Association of Community Development Corporations (MACDC) worked with Tech Networks of Boston to upgrade their IT infrastructure. The ongoing relationship between MACDC and TNB has allowed the nonprofit to focus on their mission while ensuring their technology is up to date and keeping their costs low.
Read what technology improvements have helped MACDC succeed.
Updating Technology for Growing Needs
The Institute for Nonprofit Practice was faced with an upcoming office move while dealing with the changes of a growing organization. Tech Networks of Boston worked with them on multiple technology projects to ensure their technology needs were being met. This engagement also provided INP with a guide for future improvements and changes they may need regarding their technology.
Shifting to Remote Work in the Midst of a Crisis
For the last five years, the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy has been working with Tech Networks of Boston to improve and maintain their Information Technology infrastructure. Their work with Tech Networks allowed the Greenway to successfully shift to remote work in response to COVID-19 and helps them remain nimble as they continue to assess and update their remote work policies and plan for the future.

Protecting Your Organization in the Wake of Cybercrime
For the past two years, Roca Inc. has been working with Tech Networks to review and consistently improve Roca’s security as part of an overall infrastructure upgrade. These preventative efforts ended up paying dividends when Roca was hit with a ransomware attack on Easter Sunday 2017. This attack made company files inaccessible, leaving most of their employees unable to work for several hours.
Integrated Technology for Mission-Driven Success
In addition to serving more than 450 students at their Watertown campus, Perkins School for the Blind provides global services, consulting, and products, and advocates on behalf of visually impaired kids who aren’t able to attend the school. Supporting their mission would require an integrated digital tech strategy. The Information Technology (IT) team needed to modernize existing systems and optimize collaboration across the entire organization, inside and out of the classrooms.
