Tech Networks of Boston (also known as TNB) is pleased to invite local employees of nonprofit organizations to a Roundtable session on collaborative leadership with Lisa DeAngelis.
Rick Jakious, formerly the chief executive officer of the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network has stated, “Collaboration is the tide that will either lift us all or leave us beached. It’s really up to us to decide. . .whether we are going to take responsibility for improving and advancing collaboration within the sector.”
With that in mind, Lisa DeAngelis, director of the UMass Boston Center for Collaborative Leadership, will provide examples of collaborations that have been successful and help attendees apply collaborative leadership to an issue they are looking to solve.
Working in small groups, participants will be led through exercises to help them make the connections from their organization’s current partnerships to potential future partnerships, and learn how to unlock the potential of collaborative leadership, which has the power to assist nonprofit organizations achieve far better results than what they can accomplish on their own.
For the workshop to deliver its goals, it is essential that participants come prepared to share an issue that is facing their organization. Attendees will leave the session with a game plan that can be implemented when they go back to their organization.
