Tech Networks of Boston (also known as TNB) is pleased to invite local employees of nonprofit organizations to a Roundtable session with Kathleen Malin, vice president of technology and operations management at the Rhode Island Foundation.
Here’s what Kathleen says about this session:
“Nonprofits often think they are locked into a software platform because all their data is there. That’s not the case; you have the freedom to choose. Remember, even if it’s someone else’s program, it’s your data. You can migrate your critical files. In fact, there are multiple benefits to moving your data. Migrations are also a change to fix nagging problems and to clean things up. It does take careful planning and time, but the results are well worth it. There are tools and people that can help too. Join us as we discuss the best ways to move data, change platforms, and get the best outcome for your efforts.”
Kathleen’s prior experience in the field of medical computing and her current experience at the Rhode Island Foundation make her an ideal guide for nonprofit professionals who are facing the challenge of migrating data to a new system.
