For nonprofits, it’s easy to get stuck in processes that limit our ability to creatively think and quickly respond. Some innovative practices seem foreign, expensive, and require specialized consultation. However, Agile is a simple, low-cost, and impactful process. Agile is unique in that it centers our constituents and communities, empowers us to rapidly respond to emerging needs, and remain adaptive during uncertain times.
This workshop will introduce participants to core Agile concepts, strategies, and techniques. Participants will use hands-on exercises to learn about iterative “sprints”, continuous learning, and implementing community-learning initiatives. Hands-on exercises will give participants the opportunity to experience Agile concepts and the confidence to apply them with their teams. This session is perfect for those leading their organization’s operations/projects, program design, and learning/evaluation.
On February 4th, Tech Networks of Boston (TNB) will host a free Nonprofit Roundtable session with Lilo Altali of TSNE MissionWorks to discuss Agile for nonprofit organizations.
Lilo Altali leads a design thinking and Agile lab out of TSNE MissionWorks to inform a multi-million dollar social impact investment strategy. As a Syrian immigrant, Lilo’s lived experiences interacting with the nonprofits in his community have inspired his work and career. He is certified in Project Management (PMP) and Agile Practice (ACP) by the Project Management Institute. Lilo has developed and taught graduate courses in Agile and innovation at Northeastern University and Nichols College. He holds a Master of Public Administration degree and a Graduate Certificate in Social Innovation from Northeastern University.
