Tech Networks of Boston (also known as TNB) is pleased to invite nonprofit professionals to a Roundtable session on setting up QuickBooks for your nonprofit organization. The featured guests for this session will be Stephanie O’Leary of Accounting Management Solutions (AMS), a CliftonLarsonAllen LLP Division.
. We think it’s crucial to have your nonprofit’s financial and accounting needs drive your software implementation decisions, so we are delighted to have an accounting professional rather than an IT professional leading this discussion.
Here’s what Stephanie says about this session:
Do you need advice and guidance on how to set up QuickBooks for a nonprofit organization?
In this Roundtable, we will discuss different ways on how a nonprofit can set up, design a chart of accounts, and utilize QuickBooks in the most efficient manner that aligns with the organization’s mission. We will help participants reflect on:
1)How to set up your chart of accounts
2) How to use classes for programs, cost centers, and grant tracking
3)How to get the most out of the financial reporting features
Here’s a bit more about Stephanie:
Stephanie O’Leary has 20 years of financial and accounting experience, specializing in the nonprofit sector. She has been at Accounting Management Solutions for 11 years. Her expertise includes financial and operational oversight, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, administration of grants, and developing and improving processes and procedures. She also has extensive experience working with organizations that receive federal funding and are subject to audit under OMB Circular A-133.
Since joining the AMS team, Stephanie has attained AMS Rapid Diagnostic® Certification. In her assignments, she has served as part time chief financial officer and a special projects specialist for several nonprofit organizations in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New York.
Please note:
1) In keeping with the spirit of the TNB Roundtable series, this session will NOT be a sales pitch for any product or service. Neither Tech Networks of Boston nor Accounting Management Services has a financial interest in QuickBooks. This will be a professional development opportunity for nonprofit professionals who want to learn with and from their peers in other organizations.
2) This session is for employees of nonprofit organizations. It is not designed to meet the needs of vendors, volunteers, students, consultants, job-seekers, and others.
3) Priority in registration will be given to those who are employed by nonprofit organizations that hold full membership in the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network.
4) Participation in this session is free of charge for nonprofit professionals. However, you must have a confirmed reservation in order to attend.
5) If this session is booked to capacity by the time you seek to register for it, please go ahead and put yourself on the waiting list. We have a good track record of finding seats for nonprofit professionals on the waiting list.
We hope that you can join us for a vigorous and informative conversation, in which you will be welcome to share your knowledge and experience with your peers.
