Tech Networks of Boston(TNB) and TNB Labs(TNBL) are pleased to invite nonprofit professionals to a Roundtable session on managing nonprofit IT projects, tasks, and teams. The featured guest for this session will be Todd Ching of Root Capital.
This Roundtable session will have a special option: after the usual 90 minute discussion, participants will have the option of staying on for an additional 30 minutes of hands-on work with project management tools. If you wish to participate in the hands-on segment, please bring a laptop with you.
Here is what Todd says about this session:
“The session will offer several strategies, tips, and tricks that are easy to implement but can offer major time savings for just about any role, technology focused or not. We’ll cover methods for task, project, and team management that are very approachable, but can make a huge difference in staying organized and focused. Whether you want a better system for tracking your own personal to-do list, a helpful visualization tool for organizing weekly team meetings, or an Agile-inspired approach to project management and software development, we’ll cover that in ways that are relevant to all nonprofit staff. Best of all, the tools that we will be demonstrating will are also 100% free, so this session is by no means a sales pitch for a product that isn’t in your budget! We also promise the session will also be very interactive, and all of the tips and tricks covered are very easy to implement for IT professionals and non-IT professionals alike. Come join us!”
Here’s a little more about Todd:

Please note:
1) In keeping with the spirit of the TNB Roundtable series, this session will NOT be a sales pitch for any product or service. This will be a professional development opportunity for nonprofit professionals who want to learn with and from their peers in other organizations.
2) This session is for employees of nonprofit organizations. It is not designed to meet the needs of vendors, volunteers, students, consultants, job-seekers, and others.
3) Priority in registration will be given to those who are employed by nonprofit organizations that hold full membership in the Massachusetts Nonprofit Network.
4) Participation in this session is free of charge for nonprofit professionals. However, you must have a confirmed reservation in order to attend.
5) If this session is booked to capacity by the time you seek to register for it, please go ahead and put yourself on the waiting list. We have a good track record of finding seats for nonprofit professionals on the waiting list.
We hope that you can join us for a vigorous and informative conversation, in which you will be welcome to share your knowledge and experience with your peers.
